The reason why TFT2 and OW worked (and even to some extension some mobas like League) was the characters they slowly started developing previous to the release. A thing none of the recent wave of OW clones had, but with this one at least some people might give a shit and like the look of it, since it's sort of characters we all know

Might give it a shot if they add Doom, there's already a lot of promotion over him.
