Doctor told me to sit down, and immediately cut the corners of my nail. Not the whole sides, and he didn't check to see if there were any ingrown parts deeper either, he just cut off a triangular piece from each corner and wrapped up my toe.
The whole thing was over in a minute or two at most, and I got the feeling that the lady at the nail salon was the real health professional as she was actually thorough when checking for any ingrown parts and was careful not to give my nail a fucked up shape when cutting it. This might've been a mistake.
