likely scammed his way into a conversation with someone he's previously had a business relationship with in order to get back on his feet after MSM's implosion. Because yes, a lot of people who were in MSM got NH figures, and MSM probably handled the details of those. A business guy isn't going to be watching False vids or reading up on drama to find out why Seth's company fell apart. He could probably sell them a sob story and get help.
That does NOT mean Seth is involved in the day to day with Novel Horizons, or that he's sabotaging business deals with his former talents. His best move right now is to lay low and stay out of sight as best he can, and popping back up like a supervillain in the last act of a JRPG is the stupidest possible move to make. Grimmi's issue with Novel Horizons is very likely less to do with Seth having a relationship with someone there, and more to do with the fact that her requests to look into getting a figure made were never even acknowledged. She said she spent an entire day crying over that and I think it's a lot more likely that she wants some space between her and NH as a result of this crushed dream, than it is an act of sabotage or intimidation or whatever. NH got figurines made for a lot of people. Not just VShojo and MSM. Hell, Buff got her figure made when she was still in Mythic and I don't think Yocci was associated with anyone when she got hers.
tl;dr VShojo and NH sign a contract to get a figure made. The figure gets made. The quality is acceptable. The idea that the relationship extends beyond that is very silly. Seth's almost certainly keeping his head low for his own safety, and MSM's management was neglectful and that made Grimmi cry. If there's anyone you should be concerned for in all this, it's whoever at NH Seth duped into starting a company with him. But none of us know that guy, so whatever. Fuck 'em.
