They are simply a useful metric to understand who and what is getting traction in the upper /lig/ spaces and for us to understand various trends. If we did not have the numbers and focused solely on people who the thread talks about a lot, we'd have no idea about the insane Fujo domination or the rise of the Korean Vtuber scene. It's healthy to have context for these things, and if I could I'd expand the numbers to a full top 10, but I don't want to eat up space in the OP for other things.
That said: You will get the numbers regardless of if you want them from me or not because I'm that much of a turbo autist. I've been here since the first /lig/ thread and you faggots will be suck with me until the day I die or am banned. Deal with it.
