It's like some subtle foreshadowing that going down the same path as the comet isn't really her and that twisting herself to something she isn't is why she's such a wreck.
Though thinking about it some more it would have to be some other variation of the alt!suisei idea rather than (ironically) the main variation we've been discussing of 'screwed over by chance and embittered into a wreck but by a twist of fate switched with a more successful version'. Since that version is more about reflecting on the path of Suisei and is kind of reliant on her initial choice to not be wrong. It would have to either be the our!Suisei questing to get back variant or the magical girl variant since that's the one where it's more about their differences and what makes suisei, suisei.
