>>51207151It's extremely emotionally complicated and I've never met anyone who was into it that wasn't also some kind of childhood traumatized. Kind of like how girls with daddy issues are freaks in bed, and abused people seek out abusers. You're trying to re-play and re-stimulate things that got burned into your psyche by something you experienced or observed, and there's a gnawing hole when that's missing. What you're trying to re-experience can be a feeling, a context, a place, etc. For me and some other people I know it has to do with deeply associating intimacy with destruction. For someone else I know who is into being eaten, she uses it as a way to feel like her life went towards something better/worthwhile in a way she can't be retroactively thrown away later. The permanence is important, as is the association between love and the complete reduction of a person's value to a single-use item. Which should tell you some things about the kinds of childhoods we had.
It's a strange kind of interplay between safety, horror, and intimacy. Don't ask me about the furries, though. They're on some other kind of shit that often doesn't seem even related. We're emotionally disturbed, they're outright detatched from reality.
