Mori Calliope has previously had a history of saying the n-word despite being a white woman, has made raps and lyrics in the past that appropriate black culture. She's expressed discontent that she couldn't be a part of the culture due to being white, has made constant references to "the hood", and in general has made a lot of black/POC Hololive fans feel a bit uncomfortable. When called out about it by her fans, she's done nothing but argue that complainers are mere virtue signalers/haters and even released a song complaining about cancel culture in one of her recent albums.
