In Palworld the green glowing statues I think are pretty clever, efficient and elegant way to tell the player "see that mountain? you can climb it". Just flying up a schnaz and taking a good look at the surrounding landscape and you can see a load of glowing little greenheads that act as natural waypoints to optionally(!) explore.
