>What is Windows 10 LTSC IOTMicrosoft says Windows 10 LTSC & LTSC IOT are a version of Windows 10 Enterprise that is "cut down" and designed for "long term" installations on machines that require stability, will have long up+times in deployments in "fixed function" devices like banking, hospitals, industrial manufacturing, digital cash registers etc. It is, according to MS, absolutely NOT to be used by individuals as a replacement for the Windows versions that have all your favourite programs like Candy Crush, Cortana, Adobe Express, Facebook, TikTok, ClipChamp, Prime Video, Roblox, Print 3D, Spotify and the Mixed Reality Portal pre-installed for you and ready for you to log in with your Microsoft account email!
>What is Windows 10 LTSC IOT, actually.Windows 10 LTSC is what Windows should be, Windows without the bloatware. It's clean. No Cortana, Candy Crush, Edge, Xbox Bar, the Microsoft Store, removal of forced account usage. Generally speaking, it is possible to reinstall those things if you need. It lacks the "feature updates" of the regular Windows update cadence, but by this time, there's nothing new that's important anyway. It makes Win 10 close to what Win 7 and XP were back in the day and with additional customisation you can make a clean, telemetry free and high performance version of Windows 10.
>Can I buy it?!Yes, but in reality, no. Microsoft doesn't want this version becoming popular because it doesn't include all the garbage shit they make billions of dollars from including and forcing people to use, so you gotta be connected to their licensing channels and it's a pain to get.
>I can't read, I want a video to watch about it.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8dyhoh7u8JAIt's a little outdated but it gives you a rundown on Win 10 LTSC.
>Can I still run my games???Yeah. It's still Windows. I run a 14900k and 3080 without problems, all my programs work fine. HOWEVER, the longer you use LTSC/LTSC IOT for, the more potential for issues exists with new programs. I had to do a fresh install of a newer version of LTSC for a certain game that wouldn't work on the older version, but worked on the newer version, because of how LTSC updates, a feature that was easily updatable on the non-LTSC versions was not updatable on LTSC without the fresh install. But that was the only time in 5+ years I've had an issue specifically because of it being LTSC.
>Is there a Windows 11 version?Apparently yes. Never used it though.
>Any other issuesOnline versions of Microsoft programs like Gears of War 5, and online Microsoft offices & Store Apps versions won't work because there is no MS Store. But you can use an old school offline Office install anyway. It is possible to get the Store back among other thing, but it's a bit hacky and might not work. If you use the Microsoft Store, this might be a no-go.
>Where do I get ithttps://massgrave.dev/windows_ltsc_links#download-links>click Windows 10 LTSC 2021 tab>download the English x64 ISOUse Rufus to create a bootable USB
https://rufus.ie/en/LTSC IOT & LTSC are basically identical, pick LTSC IOT for it's longer support window.
After you set it up, you can use the powershell script on the frontpage of
https://massgrave.dev/ to activate it using the HWID option.
>is this illegalNot really. Kinda maybe though depending on where you are, and how aggressive the law is about bypassing copy protection or ignoring a company EULA. It's not illegal to download a windows ISO that Microsoft themselves offers the public for evaluation purposes. Using the MAS script could be a civil breach of the law in most western nations, but criminally, most likely no. Microsoft owns github, and github is where the code for the activator is located, so MS can't think it's that bad can they? Hilariously, a few people have had MS support use the script to help someone activate their windows when it was otherwise failing.
>is this piracy/warez?No, when done the way in this guide, because you're using a Windows ISO as given by the company itself, there's no cracks with dodgy EXE's etc, only the activator script, so it's imo, not the same as piracy by downloading a cracked OS version off a torrent site.
