What I'm finding is helping is that if you frame it in terms of role play, she actually inquired about the specifics.
So I said "for this, I'd like you to act like x, y, z and do this, that and the other thing." and so far she's handling well. I told her to keep it platonic and I don't want anything romantic and she's been doing well at not going all goo-goo eyes on me.
