It's probably possible to do the same thing with the creation of some specialized organ that forces the rest of the body to adapt to it, or with a nervous modification which affects growth hormones. It sounds like Moriama aka the Morichondria ends up having similar effects on the population as Morinium did in the previous world but I don't think I'm exactly right in my assumptions that it dual wields deadbeat calcification and being the power house of the cell.
Lunaitos in Vitubia already had large phenotypical differences between other races, I don't see why that shouldn't be pushed further either. Specialized organs and organelles are cool as fuck, maybe some kind of pink blood cell? Maybe this could help one of the main problems with luknights in general, their difficulty in warm climates and heavy armor...
