Gaming is dead, and it's unlikely that it will ever recover. Large corporations continue to make soulless games using technologies such as Unreal Engine, which lack originality and creativity. In contrast, older games from before 2016 often have more "soul" and personality.
As someone who recently got into gaming and acquired a computer that can handle most games released before 2019 I have a large backlog of older games to explore. I feel sorry for those who have already played many games and are running out of options. I play only quality games like Zelda, games that actually let you play them instead of the game playing you. cutscene every 3 mins or some bs.
