>>88228234basically. doki was propelled forward by her fanbase being completely alienated from the parent corpo, the parent corpo itself shitting on her, her old ""friends"" shitting on her in a manner fucking unheard of before or since (at least in the Western chuuba sphere), and it being such a ridiculous affair that it became damn near mainstream internet news for a bit. and of course the massive cherry on top was the revelation that behind the scenes she was affected so badly by her treatment that you know, she tried to an hero.
so, what did dooby do? she basically-left holo kind of out of the blue after not streaming for a while. no obvious mistreatment nobody could contest with, outside of the vague/broad "perms sux :(" thing literally all holo deals with and clearly isn't a dealbreaker for fans. no severe mental anguish by ame. no burst of righteous outrage from her fans and the public, etc.
although I think she knows all this and doesn't really-think she's the new doki. but part of her has some weird thing where she thinks everyone is paying close attention to her every move and she's 'the leader' when honestly, nah not really. like in her birthday totsu when she just went live expecting everyone to come call in and nobody got the memo it was even happening so few even showed up. or that time she made a big race ring thing in Rust and expected everyone to come have fun and nobody did because again, she didn't try to make it known and assumed everyone was watching and waiting. as dooby I think it's more like she again thinks she's the leader, a vanguard and everyone is going to come rally to her. nah, not really. she has her old fans who are happy she's back at least but it seems generally people don't have crazy expectations of her.. so does she have crazy expectations for what this stunt will accomplish? will she get emo and morose and resentful if she winds up not being as popular as Ame was? probably.
