Wagyu is a generalist term for Japanese cattle, it doesn't not signify the marbling of the meat. A5 wagyu very specifically is the fancy kind that looks like that, I should fucking know I buy it all the time. Wagyu has grades like any other beef, the japanese use A1-5, with A1 being barely any different than USDA select beef. A5 commands a high price because the cows are specially bred and fed and taken care of to ensure that kind of marbelling. Lower grade wagyu is just a different breed of cow than angus, it has very little different in it's taste. A5 is literally a different lipid, it melts at a lower temperature and digests differently. You can't fucking say just "wagyu" and think it automatically means A5 cause it absolutely could just mean a generic MS3 Australian wagyu that tastes no better than the cheapest shit they use in a whopper.
