sometimes i wonder how much of a vtuber's persona is real and how much is played up for the camera. i can only really talk about my oshi, rie, since she's who i feel like i know about the most but even then i don't know. the relationship between a regular and the streamer is such an interesting one to me.
whenever she says "i love you" it's hard not to question it. the viewer and the streamer are nothing more than mere acquaintances. i can be completely cynical and believe that none of it is real and everything is fabricated to take advantage of a very specific type of demographic, but that doesn't feel quite right either.
i wonder if she is attached to the bitos as much as some bitos are attached to her? is it all just an act?
