You also probably didn't even previously notice that your voice did that because in English the pitch doesn't matter as much, but in Japanese your pitch changes how a word sounds just as drastically as though you were saying "enNA" instead of "ENna" in English. (For example I remember one time Kiara said she thought it was funny how there were 2 distinct ways of pronouncing her name in Japanese because different ones of her senpais used different pitch accents, while in English everyone kind of naturally stresses the middle syllable and says it the same). Anyways the proper JP pronunciation of Ennaur's name has the -na go up and the Alouette start up and then go down, and when both the -na and the A- are elongated side by side it becomes very obvious that they're meant to be the same sound. エナー・アールウェット or even エナーアールウェット
I guess エナ・アールウェット still makes sense but when you write it like that, the first syllable of Alouette completely swallows the -na of Enna and ruins the flow of the words. So you have no choice but to adjust Enna instead of Alouette, because Alouette is stuck as アールウェット because it's a French word and that's just the way it's written. The way we say her surname is techinically less accurate compared to the Japanese way; their actual word that means bird is AH-louette while we kind of just Americanize it as Alou-WET. You also have to remember that we say "Ennuh Alouwet" while Japanese only has one way to pronounce あ which sounds nothing like either of the ones we use in her name, so putting the As next to each other in Japanese is a little tricky. But it really is subjective at the end of the day because Katakana is a very flawed writing system incapable of writing most loan words. Hell, even Luxiem has 2 "correct" pronunciations because staff decided on ルクシム as the official reading but livers and fans still say ラクシエム because everyone agreed rukushimu sounds retarded. There are many such examples of words being written one way vs another.
I like the way they chose to spell Enna's name though because エナ feels too short/awkward and エーナ completely throws off the rhythm of her full name even if it sounds better to our ears in a void.
Also the word "ena" has a kind gross meaning in Japanese but I don't know if that has anything to do with it lmao
