>>28241248>>28241560I don't think pomudachis are interested in Pomu for what she was 15 years ago. We like Pomu because she grew into a good person and didn't just fall into drugs and depression or get babytrapped by some ugly fat loser like the other burnt out cosplay thots from that era.
But most importantly she doesn't look at her fans and fellow weebs with contempt the way most of those "weeb girls" do. She's genuinely enthusiastic when it comes to talking about anime and manga and her experiences in Japan. She doesn't automatically judge someone as a creep just because they like a certain anime or enjoy masturbating to JAVs. Trying to befriend women in the western anime fandom is like navigating through a minefield of traps just so you don't offend them because they all have extremely specific views of what weeb content is "acceptable to like" and feel very strongly about it.
I don't know why women get so offended that Pomudachis see Pomu as unique. If her personality is really that common then why have seemingly all of us never encountered someone like her before? Makes no sense. I think what's more likely is a lot of women just don't understand how hurtful it is to have your hobbies belittled constantly even by those who pretend to be your comrades. Pomu makes so many men feel at home just by watching her streams and listening to her ramble on about her hobbies. The sincere joy she shows when having a conversation with her chat about obscure 00's anime or dumb adventures in Japan or even visiting soaplands is really fucking cute and endearing.
If you can find me another woman like Pomu I'd gladly give her a chance, I'm not a misogynist, but I just don't want to be hurt by someone that will treat me like shit for daring to like Saya no Uta or some shit.
