Anonimity goes on both ways, you could find pathological liars in this webpage here and there but there's also a lot of honest people who just like sharing their experiences.
On topic, I have no reason to not believe their sad experiences. Big bad boy OP might think that everyone in this world has a cold heart and is there just to take advantage of him, but we all have had shitty experiences and in the case of vtubers, some stories hit them harder and more often because they interact with hundreds of people on a daily basis who can bring topics they didn't know could be sensitive to them.
