Everyone in the company still had her back and she could have stayed if she wanted. The CEO tried to convince her to stay. All she had to do was just ride out the bugs as they inevitably burned out.
I can only assume it was some sort of 'I don't want to be the cause of trouble for the rest of the girls' bullshit thought on her part.
