You can close the widget and even eliminate it entirely if it's in your way. But first
>Settings -> Playback -> Hover image.Enable that if you want. I rarely look at the player itself.
>Settings -> Display -> Minimised Display -> Thumbnail.Uncheck that one, and clicking the X in the widget won't make it become a thumbnail in the bottom right.
If you're using 4chan X and you want the player back for whatever reason, click the play button in the top right and it will open.
