Especially if it's shounen stuff, since the furigana is right there to teach you readings without having to stop your momentum and going after an outside source just for that.
I really recommend installing yomichan if you don't already use it, by the way. The tiny kanji issue is completely solved by that, just hold shift with your mouse on top of it and it comes up at a decent size with reading and dictionary meanings. It's extremely useful to pick up new vocabulary from stream chat, in my opinion.
It's definitely a very different experience trying to translate a talk and trying to get across how they said things, rather than just give a summary of what was said. I get so much more insecure trying to represent people's thoughts than I do if someone just asks me "what is he talking about?", and it took me quite a while to go over that, but it was also really fun, honestly. Japanese is a fun language.
