There are a lot of loan words between French being one of the languages in English's melting pot and tons of modern English words being taken into French. The grammar is basically "reverse the way an English person would say this" in a lot of cases, so the basic framework is still the same. Gendered nouns and learning not to pronounce the endings of basically every word takes some adjusting, but in the grand scheme of things other languages will ask for more from you.
