I remember going on an hours long train ride to buy the entire original series from some shady secondhand shop in bumfuck nowhere. I remember going over the pages while listening to Brad Fiedel's Terminator OST thinking about what an amazingly gritty Terminator-style adaptation Cameron was gonna make out of this and dreaming about what sexy actress would play the main character.
But then instead I got this bland cliché-fest of a movie about some magical blue noble savage hippies living in spiritual harmony with muh environment and their noble fight against le ebil military baddies trying to kill their magical soul tree or whatever the fuck.
