It takes therapy to help them see things in a grey area. It's a bit sad (until they fuck you over) because in their fear of abandonment, they end up pushing everyone away with their anger and paranoia.
I assume that's why Rushia acted like a retard in the wake of the MafuMafu drama. In so much fear of abandonment by her fandeads that she acted impulsively to avoid it.
Just a theory of mines though.
