Man, ever since I started lurking on /vt/ my views on vtubers has changed a fucking lot. Alas, even knowing that this will fall on deafen ears, I will share my thoughts on the matter:
I do not think that Mori (and by extention her roommate) lies intentionally. I think that her main problem comes from the fact that she's riding the greatest high: she has everything she ever wished for and more, and the success keeps coming. So, being the retarded that she is, she tries to embrace it all: the vtuber career, her RM stuff, UMG, her new friends, personal life achievements & etc.
So, with a lack of laser focus and proper planning, she ends up being mediocre at all of those things. Her vtuber career is tanking this lack of planning, her friendships seems to be waning etc, you get what I mean.
Eventually this great high will fade. And soon, very soon, she might have to make a choice of which fucking way she wants to go. Again, I don't think she does all those shenanigans on purpose (she is somewhat mentally ill, and a human being after all) so I'm still playing devil's advocate and waiting to see where and when this ride ends.
