>>85516295If it's already built up, a cotton swab will just push it in further. You're supposed to spray it with warm water, with a little bit of force to knock everything loose. If your ear's blocked, there are eardrops that will make the wax come loose and those all come with a little water sprayer.
Just filling your ear with water only works if they're relatively clean. If your ears are swollen or blocked with wax, it will get stuck. Ear buds and swabs should never come back with a whole chunk/smear of dark wax on them, and if they do, they are too backed up for a normal cleaning.
Just buy the fucking kit. It's only a couple of bucks, comes with enough drops for like 5+ cleanings, and you get to keep the sprayer forever.
