There was a reason I wasn't watching Twitch streamers before Hololive. There's a reason I still don't watch them now. Hololive reminds me more of the early ~2010s pre-Twitch-culture style of content creation and streaming than anything I have seen in the past decade.
Why do I always feel like I'm living in bizarro world when people don't understand this and jump to wild shit like "they just want to self-insert" and "their life is shit and this is escapism" as though this must somehow accurately describe the tens of thousands of fans of these chuubas?
