EN is to be expected since a large portion of the board is based on them, and is the reason why this board exists. For the larger JP ones, i.e. Kenzoku, I can testify that Kenzoku has had a culture of being a unified group in things and wanting to represent Towa.
Gen5 threads for example have all begun to merge on /vt/ due to too many threads for the board so that removes their fanbases. I could probably write a bit more about other groups, but it basically stems down to actual size on /vt/ and the groups propensity to leave their thread.
