Hi Nerissa, hope youre feeling better and staying warm. Whats your favorite Christmas movie? Mine is the Grinch movie with taylor momsen, the original animated one is good but not really lets be honest, and the 3d animated one is not good at all. I have a story about the grinch movie Ill tell maybe later. Did you ever watch olive the other reindeer? I remember in second grade the teacher read the book to us and then we watched the film, I actually really loved it and it might be my tied for my favorite Christmas film. Theres also this great song in there im surprised is not world famous and played over the Christmas radio stations like the "youre a mean one mr.grinch" song is.
>Olive the Other Reindeer - Bah, Bug and Humhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lh2tgO52rcANotalgia baby, good memories watching that clip and I really love the art style too. That song is a hit, it really gets stuck in your head. Did you ever watch the rankin bass movies? Its the stop motion ones watch this and you'll know what im talking about
>Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer | "Shiny! I'd even say it glows!"https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=btfMlzLXZpYThe Santa one, little drummer boy, you know the ones. I used to love those. Which is your favorite? I like them all. Did your english teacher ever make you read and then watch "A Christmas Carol"? Fantastic novel, probably in my top 100 all time list and many would share the same sentiment. If you watch the film the 1984 George C Scott version is the best version and thats one we watched at school. Its actually free on youtube, it would be a good watch for your niece.
>A Christmas Carol (1984) HDhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fd31WpkEi_8Though the author Charles Dickens was a prot, the biggest themes in his brilliant novel are Catholic; Redemption, faith and works, purgatory. His deceased partner Marley comes back to warn him of what would be his fate (purgatory)(prots dont believe purgatory exists), at first he doesnt believe the ghosts are real but at the end he does (faith), and after being scared straight by said ghosts he immediately takes action to be good and generous and helps tiny tim and the cratchit family (works)(protestants do not believe we are saved through faith and works, they believe only faith is necessary), and finally through his actions he is a new good hearted man (redemption). Its a beautiful Catholic novel even if the author was a prot. Stay warm and comfy Nerissa, have a goodnight and get better soon!
