At the same time, their fur is actually great at *holding* heat, as in the evenings temperatures in the Sahara can become frigidly cold.
Fennec foxes can live their entire life without ever finding a body of water, as they extract water from the food they eat and water that collects as dew from their dens, and this water is incredibly well conserved by their specialized kidneys.
Fennecs are excellent jumpers, with a standing vertical jump of two feet despite their position as the world's smallest fox, meaning they can jump approximately 2X their body length.
Lastly, fennec foxes are prised for their furs and as exotic pests, but reproduce in numbers high enough that their conservation status is not an issue.
