They see shit like this and they want to do similar things, they want to reach new audiences (especially considering it's an entirely different audience in japan with different wants and needs).
I guess the core audience of ironic weebs is getting alienated in the process though, but I think it's inane. I doubt JPs doing their own thing will affect how the english speaking Vshojos act in any way whatsoever
