Nothing's stopping you from going back and doing the old things that made you happy before she appeared while you wait for her to come back. She seems excited for the future and that alone makes it a bit easier to stay positive then the last time, at least for me. You'll get to see her again.
You've been through a bunch of these at this point so there's not really a reason to start thinking that somehow this time you won't.
