Anons, this whole thing's had me thinking all day. I think the reason vtubers specifically appealed to me was it was kind of like having a friend. You got to see somebody doing something they enjoy and tou could just drop in on a stream or a clip or a vod to keep up with them. Watching the Mythbreakers RPG happen was gold, and Myth was just right there for me in the worst of the pandemic. As I've got older, I'm seeing my friends less and less, and I'm dealing with boring adult responsibilities more and more, while wondering how much longer I've got left with my dad and grandparents. Losing Ame is just another reminder that I'm getting older and continuing to just drift apart from things. Man, this shit got me feelin' existential.
