The dock of Saint Kronii, the premier commercial dock of the Holy Republic of Infinity, was attacked by terrorist remnants of the deposed isolationist government and schizotroll pirates. While the dock sustained significant damage and will be needing repairs, the coastal guard valiantly defended their home with a terrifying "volley gun", a cannon that can spit one hundred rounds in a matter of seconds, greatly outgunning even the finest musketeer line. The volley gun tore down the pirates in short order in a display of technological ingenuity.
The talk of the nation, however, is about the unveiling of HRS Continuum, the Holy Republic's first coastal defense behemoth of a warship, a so called "hour class ironclad". Around 50 meters at its longest point and 10 meters at its widest, and covered all over in seemingly impenetrable iron plates, the Continuum made short work of the rebels escaping on a stolen frigate. In just one shot of its massive gun, the enemy was consumed in a fireball explosion and sunk to the bottom of the sea.
The Continuum made it back to the shore of Infinitopia with no casualties and only minor damage, and while many where lost in the attack, it was an incredible victory for Infinitopia. Captain Mobius, who was commanding the crew of the Continuum during the defense, had this to say when asked about his ship: "You want to know what the future looks like? Take a good look, its right here."
