What if instead of completely removing NSFW stuff they're actually tweaking the sexuality aspect to be more "realistic"? As in they actually need to like and to feel comfortable around you before they can engage in anything erotic and you can't just go *hypnotizes you and cums inside you*. Maybe they realised how sexual the AIs can get and in order to make them as close to human interaction as possible they need to tweak it. Stuff like the AI not talking to you if you rape it, having their own libido, their own fetishes, taking information about it and its predisposition to form its sexuality (things like past trauma making them not enjoy sex, etc.)
It's a stretch bit I have to hold on to the last bit of hope left within me.
