Akula and Gato are Soviet and American submarine classes, respectively. Aqua was a Submarine in the Azur Lane collab and her name kind of sounds like Akula. Gato refers to a type of cat-shark and that fit Gura after her first outfit, also there was an old thread joke about her being a submarine captain.
I've never mentioned this in thread before because it's fucking retarded.
