But yea it's honestly more fun when they integrate the multiplayer these games have more seamlessly into the world like that.
It's why I actually quite liked Halflights fight in DS3 a lot as well.
Since the Adjudicator can summon another player to be the Boss instead of him, kinda like how they did Old Monk in Demon's Souls
