It's tough to deal with an artistic person, because obviously we love her for her content like singing, and it's super important to her...but even beyond that we care about her as a person.
You can't just be an autist and say, "it doesn't matter if you lose your voice, we'd still be there for you!" even though it's true, because that would be painful for her to hear as an artistic person who wants to create content.
