>>41411397If you ever want to start a series that might hold your interest, I started mine by outlining a couple arcs worth of stuff, which ended up being 8 chapters worth at first, and then started writing. From there I just kept coming up with more ideas and adding more things I want to see happen as I write. It also helps that I enjoy the world I'm creating within this story and want to see it through to whatever end it has. The sky is never the limit when it comes to writing and the stories you want to create.
It's also okay if short stories are what you want to stick to, everyone's got a preference.
