Outsider here, guess I'll take the opportunity to ramble a little. I stopped watching Hololive four and a half years ago out of disgust with Cover's management but since hearing of Kanata's announcement I've been silently lurking these threads and Twitter because I'm still invested in knowing if she specifically is doing well.
Reading all this has made a lot of memories of back then resurface, but more than anything I'm just shocked that nothing seems to have improved since. Kiryukai was an unusually obedient bunch when it came to listening to its oshi so the consensus was "She knows things we don't so let's not make a fuss that would also inconvenience her good friends like Kanata or Haachama." Imagine my surprise when reading up on their current situations. A couple of days ago I saw a lone HoloAnti account bring up the spammer list modding incident and when even someone like that misses the particularly egregious key points it really goes to show how successfully all the fishy stuff got memoryholed. Maybe we should have raised a real ruckus after all? Who knows?
Well, I'm long past being bitter about any of that but it's a real bummer to read about Kanata of all people getting stuck between the gears. Hope everything goes as well as it can for her in the future.
