>>34606743Nutshell: Greek city states or HRE (?) but with capitalism, mixed with aspects of cyberpunk corporate dystopias (set in early 1800s and late 1700s), overseen by an elusive and shadowy entity that may or may not be led by a god-queen of some sort.
Organizational structure
https://files.catbox.moe/k5p3ug.pngThe nation is a loosely united collections of independent and semi-independent corporate states ("Plutocrats and Megacorporations" in the diagram). The nation has 3 separate strata, the Republic Proper, the aforementioned corporate states, and the common people.
The Republic Proper is led by Valt honk and the Dev Council, who are responsible for enforcing the very few laws of the state, in which they use the Republic Guard and the Republic Navy. They are also responsible for governing the few Republic cities (most notably the capital, where the central stock exchange is located at). The Republic Proper acts more as a passive observer to the entire Serene Republic, only stepping in where absolutely necessary, and to tardwrangle corporations and plutocrats that have stepped too far from the line.
The second and most politically powerful strata is the Plutocrats (or "Valt" as they are known in Kat Nol) and megacorporations that govern a good 90% of the republic with some level of cooperation. These corporations are often rivals with each other, and the Serene Republic is always experiencing some level of conflict with itself, with rival corporations hiring privateers and mercenaries to damage the business of each other, or spying on each other to try to uncover their rival's secrets.
Each corporation is somewhat free to enact their own laws, and enforce them within their cities. However, most of these laws do follow the general Serene Republic philosophy of high economic and personal liberty and extreme meritocracy.
If you are forming alliances with the Serene Republic, it will 90% of the time take the form of you making a contract or coming to an agreement with one of the megacorporations. The Republic Proper itself does not conduct foreign diplomacy in most cases, as it prefers to remain a neutral observer to it all. Exceptions are the ATL and possibly other similar pacts where the Republic Proper agrees to assist foreign powers against stateless actors like pirates or where they agree to form free trade zones and the like.
The Republic Proper and the megacorporations see each other as entirely separate for the most part. A corporation could rise to rebel against the Republic Proper, and if a corporation is found to be in breach of a contract by a foreign power, the Republic Proper would see it fit to assist the foreign power in bringing the corporation to justice, or they could do it entirely on behalf of the foreign power.
The last strata is the common people, citizens of the republic, and all the customers both domestic and foreign. They direct the Serene Republic through economic demand, and in some cases through democratic processes such as voting.
The people themselves come from all across the world, but mostly from the holocontinent. There is no race of nasfaqgians, as the entire country is largely a nation of immigrants. Closest would be the Ka-ti Mak who are the indigenous people of the area, now a minority in the nation. Same applies for religions, you'll find almost all but the most niche indie deities worshipped by someone within the Serene Republic. The official state religion (as much as one can exist) is an expanded Holopantheon that includes some other deities (holo mamas) as well.
Primary language is Kat Nol, Holodhennet is a widely understood secondary language.
Three types of money exists, a fiat paper currency (nasfaqg dollars, $nsfq), precious metals (gold, silver, copper, etc), and a semi-fiat chuubanite backed currency.
I hope this answers some of your questions.
