I wouldn't care as much if she weren't a big deal and/or had been doing this for like 5 years already like the top seniors, but she started flaking out only really like a year and a half into it and to a degree far stronger than even even ones already famously-known for just having given up on this shit clearly like Shion and Aqua. Gura's very-very similar to Ayame tier if not even worse than her sometimes. And of course, Gura is not just a random garden variety Holo but the biggest one in subs by a long-longshot, no other Holo will catch her likely for several years unless something unusually-lucky happens and they find another viral one that eclipses the company (possible but unlikely IMO). And she's not just a Holo but a HoloEN, a branch that has been left struggling out in the cold who absolutely needs every streamer it can get to keep the ball rolling and whose promise that Cover was bound to become worldwide-relevant was essentially represented by her breakout success. All that, goes away, when she's functionally gone.
The only one worse is Haachama who literally has dropped off the face of the earth to the point she can't sign her own merch for events and can't even be reached by some holos apparently.
I get that Cover probably thinks "whatever, it's still passive income from the members and especially when new merch drops" but it's such a bad fucking look to keep ones around who just do nothing compared to the other girls who actually put the time and effort in still and try to pretend/play it as they're all equally hard-working shiny idols in their smiley story. Lol no they're not, not at all. I used to not think highly of Sana but her graduating is actually a graceful move relatively speaking instead of just doing this shit cynically milking fans' hope after it should have faded.
