this is something all other living generations are known for as well but gen alpha is "worse" because it's "skibidi toilet" and not real things like rock music. we were shitting on kids for slender man and FNAF and shit not that long ago, but not with the same level of total confusion since it was 20-year-olds shitting on 10-year-olds for liking slop versions of familiar media. a lot of gen alpha memes are 30-year-olds and 60-year-olds shitting on literal 5-year-olds for watching weird youtube shorts, so there isn't much common ground or understanding and references to it contain almost no information (because they don't even know what they are saying).
