The manufacturing cost includes raw materials too. Tariffs fuck all that up because they hit at each step of the process.
The raw materials like screws and plastic and ramen flour and fancy steel for blades are more expensive than they were when the items were priced. And the finished product gets hit with its own tariffs coming from probably China.
So now the items sold for $X and cost $X+$50 to make, and Vite is pretty much screwed.
The constantly changing rules don't fucking help either, normally this sort of stuff is done a bit less suddenly and with long announcement times.
