It's an interesting strategy, since they know that one of the biggest appeals to the small corpo scene over the big three agencies is the personal attention that you could possibly receive. Good luck ever getting noticed by Gura or Kiara, but you can get a personal greeting just by saying hi to Tomo or Orla. You could even be remembered as a stream regular if you do it consistently. By having their chuubas open to off-stream interactions on Discord, that increases the chances of getting noticed, and also strengthens the bond between viewer and the brand of Tsunderia. Whether that brand loyalty is worth the risk of all the bad shit that could happen on platforms like Discord is up for debate
