Pippa didn't build her PC herself, she bought it from one of those places that assembly it.
I can see them cutting on costs by using cheap materials that would break about 1.5 years after bought, a safe amount of time after the warranty...and Pippa not cleaning her PC properly made it so it broke a few months early.
PC fans are one of the most common ways a company can cut corners, a shitty fan is much cheaper than a reliable one.
