"Lesser" game devs tend to struggle with maintaining their ccv, for example, one of the Noita devs has like 30ccv and DDLC dev has something like 70ccv on average. And vtubing would most likely just make their numbers plummet.
SOoooo I completely agree with you. Simply being a dev or an artist, etc, is not enough for men... you pretty much have to be a celebrity if you want to skip the good old grind.
