>>5284852"Unity" and "Trinity" aren't incompatible concepts or even the antithesis of one another. "Unity" is more about how you interact with idols, and their fanbases, that you don't follow or watch. "Trinity" is at it's core a preference for three specific idols, it doesn't have to imply disdain for other idols. It's useful as it describes a trio of idols, Gura, Ame, and Ina, who some users watch as a unit, nothing more and nothing less.
"Unity" has never required that you have no oshi, or a lack of preference for a handful of them. It's about having a mindset of general positivity, or at worst a tolerance towards all the talents, and fan bases, of Hololive. Nothing about the "Trinity" inherently promotes ill-will towards others in Hololive, there are some who use it (read: falseflag) to make other talents seem inferior but that use of the concept in that way is purely from the biases of that user and not from the concept itself.
Two concepts don't necessary have to be on opposites sides. You don't have to be anti-unity to be pro-trinity or vice versa. These threads have a baseline of "Unity" which is only deviated from by the perma-ironic users who need drama, (you)s, and arguments to enjoy posting on a hobbyist board. For such users, as another anon put it, Hololive isn't their hobby, browsing 4chan is.
