One way to weaken hololive is not to directly attack the talents but to paint their fanbase as the most horrible thing ever. It can dissuade alot of new people from checking out a community. Remember hololive, talents and the fanbase works together into making things work if you attack one of the three you can effectively weaken them and their overall reputation. Even if you say the talent is innocent, people won't perceive it that way since "chat reflects the streamer" has already taken root in people's mind. To give a slightly similar example is phase with their fanbase being perceived as negative.
