So, I've been working on the #DressUpSayton mega for a couple of days now, sadly with interruptions that take me away from it for hours, but I am about 860 images in out of 1200 so I should finish tomorrow and then upload the whole thing to Mega for everybody to have. I have been sorting images into categories and what I have discovered is I don't fucking have a clue how to tell e-girl from pastel goth from emo from goth from scene so I threw them all in the same folder whatever looked like it wasn't 'normal'. The lolita stuff is usually easier to spost so I have a folder for that and holy shit there's a lot of it in these designs. I have broken down the dispersal to:
Casual - whatever looks like normal clothing
Idol / Music - anything idol or musical themed
High Fashion - mostly where I throw elegant gowns and bizarre ass stuff I can't figure out where else to chuck
Demon - self explanatory; threw a lot of things in here that I can't obviously categorize elsewhere but still has a lot of Mouse's demon qualities in the image
Angel - same as above but for angel form
Business - formal suits and stuff
Punk/Goth/etc - the above generalized category where I can't tell any of that shit apart; it's gotten huge
Nightwear / Swimwear - only paired these because there's not a lot of either
Magical Girl - lots of mahou shojo Mousey stuff, also threw witch forms in here because why not
Battle / Adventurer / Fantasy - anything where mouse is a JRPG character or the like
Royal - anything regal looking or emphasizing "queen" this or that
Lolita - the biggest category, Mouse's favorite fashion
Cosplay - anything that goes as traditional cosplay stuff, so nurses, clowns (why so many clowns...?), cowgirls, bikers, race queens, etc.
Cyberpunk - there is a fuck ton of cyberpunk shit holy crap
Ethnic - anything where the outfit is obviously influenced by a non-US standard culture and there's quite a bit of Puerto Rican themed outfits and Japanese stuff in here; admittedly also a lot of the harajuku-lolita fashion because I'm too stupid to tell it apart from the other shit
Animal or Monster Girl - self explanatory, I also put fairies in here instead of fantasy
Steampunk / Sentai - no these don't go together I just merged them because neither category had much alone
Memes - you know what this is
I also have a folder to "lost" images; stuff I downloaded but now I can't find the fucking Tweet entry for the outfit. Some people reuploaded stuff so I'm still progressing through (I'm on Feb 9 out of Feb 11) and might find some of those, but there are a few that might be lost permanently because there's no name on the image (or one dude privated all his shit so it's gone and I can't see it). I'm also doing an excel doc to keep track of all the artists and their number of submissions (and in which category) just for data logging.
It's tiring, but I'll get there. Pic related is one of the lost ones, so if anybody knows the artist lemme know so I can find them. I'm hoping this is reupload I haven't found yet.
